Capacity Building [Training]

EPTRI conducts national and international programmes to impart professional and need based training in environment with a wide outreach. The curriculum of the training programs are conceptualised and formulated keeping pace with the ever changing technologies and regulations to meet the needs of a host of participants. EPTRI has been empanelled by the Government of India for imparting training under the technical cooperation scheme of Colombo Plan covering 24 countries. EPTRI also undertakes Training Need Analysis (TNA) if desired by any organisation and prepares tailor made modules to suit to their needs. Since 1992 more than 2,100 training programs have been conducted. The participants who have undergone training are from various walks of life such as

  • Member Secretaries, Engineers & Scientists of Pollution Control Boards
  • Managers, Engineers, Scientists, Environmentalists from Industries
  • Principal Secretaries, Secretaries to Government and District Collectors
  • Directors, Addl &Joint Directors, Section Heads, etc. of Government Departments

    EPTRI is equipped with State-of-art Training facilities. Facilities at the two storied training block at EPTRI campus include, a 70 sitting lecture hall, 40 sitting conference hall, 3 individual discussion chambers with a capacity of 10 persons and also provision for working online systems and net surfing and well dressed lounges at each floor for relaxing at break times. The lecture hall and the conference hall are equipped with the latest audio-visual presentation tool kits right from over head projectors to LCD Projectors, and Electronic Writing board.

    More than 46,181 Govt. and non Govt. and industrialists, national and international participants have under gone training. There is great demand for environmental training to protect and safe guard the environment. EPTRI can take up more number of programs national and international.

    EPTRI has been empanelled under Technical Cooperation Scheme (TCS) under Colombo Plan (CP) which provides training to 24 countries. To conduct the residential training programs EPTRI is in process of building its own hostel facility to cater to the needs of residential programs.
