Two-day Training Program conducted on Transition from Linear to Circular Economy - Principles, Policies and Practices on 28th & 29th March 2023 for Pollution Control Board Officers of different States, sponsored by Central Pollution Control Board, Govt. of India, New Delhi.

The programme was inaugurated by Smt A Vani Prasad, Director General of EPTRI and Principal Secretary to Government of Telangana. Dr. J. Sesha Srinivas, Sr. Scientist of EPTRI briefed the participants regarding the training programme.  The participants attended were from different States Pollution Control Boards, Central Pollution Control Board and Municipal Corporations.

The training program detailed on Circular Economy and its benefits to India and India’s commitment to Climate Change.  It also gave insights on Duties of Waste Generator, Roles and Responsibilities of Authority, Circularity in Solid Waste Management, Plastic Waste, Construction & Demolition Waste and Mining.

On the second day, participants were taken to a field visit to the Construction & Demolition Waste Recycling Plant and E Waste Recycling Plant.
