EPTRI inaugurated the fourth Indian Technical and Economic Cooperation (ITEC) training programme on Climate Change and Sustainable Development (CCSD) on 30-01-2023. The course offers a holistic approach to climate change and demonstrates the interdependencies between sustainable development and climate change to make informed choices towards climate resilient development. The cohort for the training consists of thirty-three (33) participants from twenty-six (26) countries.
The programme was inaugurated by Shri. S. Narsing Rao, IAS, Principal Secretary to the Chief Minister, Government of Telangana.Speaking during the inaugural, Shri. S. Narsing Rao, IAS, Principal Secretary to the Chief Minister, Government of Telangana informed the trainees that sustainable development and climate action are deeply interconnected and interdependent. And Climate change is a cross-cutting development issue that affects every aspect of sustainable development and the entire 2030 Agenda. The programme was presided over by Smt. A. Vani Prasad, IAS, Principal Secretary to Government, Government of Telangana and Director General, EPTRI.Heads of Departments of various divisions at EPTRI were present.
