EPTRI conducted an ITEC training programme from 18th to 30th March 2019

EPTRI conducted an ITEC training programme on Integrated Approach to Climate Change Policy Development & Financing Sustainable Development Goals from 18th March to 30th March, 2019. The training programme was inaugurated by Shri. B. Kalyan Chakravarthy, IAS, Director General, EPTRI. The programme was attended by 40 participants from 25 ITEC partner countries. The training programme addressed the following issues- Providing the participants, the basic concepts of climate change and its impacts In-depth understanding about sustainable development goals and threats posed by climate change impacts on the achievement of sustainable development goals. They should be able to prioritize the SDG goals for their countries. Overview of existing climate policies of different countries. They should be able to link their respective countries climate and other policies in context of the sustainable development goals. Overview on the sources and status of climate finance.
